Manufactured from premium-grade Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), these centrifuge tubes are designed for ultra-clean laboratory environments, trace element analysis, and harsh chemical applications. Featuring extremely low background metal levels and superior chemical inertness, they guarantee zero leaching or precipitation, making them ideal for handling strong acids, bases, and organic solvents.

Key Features
-
Extreme Temperature Resistance: Operates reliably within a broad temperature range from -196°C to +250°C (-320°F to +482°F), suitable for cryogenic freezing and high-temperature sample processing.
-
Unrivaled Chemical Inertness: Highly resistant to virtually all chemicals, including aqua regia, hydrofluoric acid (HF), concentrated nitric acid, strong alkalis, and organic solvents.
-
Ultra-Low Leaching & Background: Minimal trace metal background levels with zero plasticizers, preventing sample contamination and ensuring high-precision analytical accuracy (ICP-MS ready).
-
Non-Stick & Low Friction: Boasts the lowest coefficient of friction and surface tension among solid materials, ensuring minimal liquid retention and maximum sample recovery.
-
Exceptional Weatherability: Outstanding aging resistance ensures long-term durability without degradation under harsh conditions.

Precautions & Operating Guidelines
-
Sealing Recommendation: For volatile solvents or high-temperature heating, select models equipped with sealing plugs or specialized thread designs to prevent leakage under high pressure.
-
Digestion Use Notice: While these PTFE centrifuge tubes can temporarily substitute for digestion tubes, prolonged heating may cause thermal expansion of the caps, resulting in a loose thread fit. For dedicated digestion applications, we recommend purchasing specialized PTFE Digestion Vessels.
-
Cleaning & Reusability:
-
Rinse with pure water immediately after use.
-
Soak overnight in a 10% nitric acid solution to eliminate any residual memory effect on the inner walls.
-
Rinse thoroughly with ultrapure water and air dry.
-
-
Cryogenic Handling: When operating at ultra-low temperatures (-196°C), allow frozen samples to thaw slightly (at least above 2°C) prior to high-speed centrifugation.
-
Balancing & Safety: Always ensure exact mass balancing prior to running the centrifuge to prevent equipment vibration or mechanical damage to the tubes.
